How to get there

The local train stations are Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud.

Coming by train from the London direction, Stroud is the first that you arrive at.

A taxi from any of those is likely to be the best way to travel to Cooper's Hill, particularly on a bank-holiday.

By road, Cooper's Hill, Brockworth, is just off the A46 Cheltenham - Stroud road.

A field is set aside for car parking, which costs £5 per vehicle. This provides the major source of income for the event, covering expenses prize money and the purchase of the cheeses.

Coaches - there are no parking facilities for coaches on the hill. The road up to the hill is single track only, quite unsuitable for coaches. Coach drop off point is on the A46 Painswick Road at the bottom of the lane to the car park and hill. Coaches should find parking further down (maybe on the old Cirencester Road).

Entrance to the car parking field - From here, walk 0.4 miles up the lane to the foot of the hill!
