Cooper's Hill - Toilet and Clean
Water Facilities Are Not Provided!

The Cheese Rolling slope runs from a point just above the
start of the tree free, shadowed part at the lower centre of the picture, to the perimeter of the cottage gardens
near the top of the picture, short but very steep!
The distance from Start to Finish is approximately 90 meters as measured on the
map.
The Cockrell on the pole at the top of the hill can be located by the shadow
cast by the pole
The sunlit area lower centre of the picture is a plateau at the top of the hill.
There is no clean water
available in the area for competitors or spectators and there are NO public
toilet facilities provided at the event or indeed locally.
The lack of level ground in the vicinity
of the Cheese-Rolling Event at Cooper's Hill, is one of many reasons why the
organisers have been unable to provide toilet facilities at the event.
There is no public water supply at on
near to the event, it is imperative that you bring your own supplies to avoid
dehydration whilst attending the event. You are advised that any open sources of
water, should be considered as polluted and therefore avoided!
Additional consideration, by those
intending to participate in the event, should be given to having a sufficient
additional water supply with them for the immediate treatment and cleansing of
minor wounds and grazes.
