The
cheese rolling at Cooper’s Hill was, for many years, organised by an
informal committee comprised of local residents of Cooper’s Hill and the
adjoining areas.
In October of 2005, a
Limited Company (CHCRC Ltd) was formed to formalise the arrangements,
most of the original committee members becoming members of the newly
formed company.
The members of CHCRC Ltd
continued to be commonly referred to as "The Committee"
Following the cancellation
of the Cheese Rolling at Cooper’s Hill in 2010 and the failure in 2011
to stage the event the members have disbanded the committee and an
application has been made to Companies House to have the company (CHCRC
Ltd) formally struck off.
