Cooper’s Hill near  Brockworth is in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, between Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud.

It is just off the A46 Cheltenham – Stroud road.

A maypole, surmounted by a cockerel marks the hill where the festival takes place.
